What a great night with our Changeover celebration on 4th July! Over 50 members, friends and guests enjoyed the celebration of the past Rotary year and the great work the Canberra Sundowners have done in our local, national and international communities.
Outgoing President Sam Doyle presented Paul Harris Fellowship recognition of great service to the Canberra community to Lesley Foldi (including many years service to RSPCA and also supporting the club in establishing our Vinnies night van team) and Patrick Coffey (many years service to the Gungahlin SES and to Camp Quality). Both were surprised and humbled by the club's recognition. Congratulations to both recipients. Well deserved!
We also inducted Matthew Mennilli as our newest member of the Sundowners. On top of that we acknowledged some great young people we have worked with, including Adelle Holman and Penelope and Claudia Hampson as well as several great community organisations that we supported this past year.
The evening ended with the installation of Tara Pullen as President and the introduction of the 2023-24 Board! A wonderful night to start another great year in the Sundowners!
