With World Polio Day this Friday, there was plenty of focus on Rotary’s incredible End Polio Now campaign at our meeting tonight.
Instead of buying a meal or drink, members contributed directly to the Polio Plus fund through a special World’s Greatest Meal event, helping fund more vaccines and protect more children from polio. The Club also made a donation to support Rotary’s global effort to eradicate this preventable disease.
We were privileged to also hear from District 9705 Polio Plus Chair Norm Potter who provided a powerful reminder of why Rotary’s mission to end polio is so important.
We’re hoping to do our bit to making sure we’re one step closer to a polio-free world.
