There is arguably no more exciting event in Rotary club life than the club charter celebration. The Canberra Sundowners officially chartered in August 2021, but have had to defer our charter celebrations until February 25th. The event will take place at the National Press Club, from 6.30pm till late on Friday 25th of February 2022 . Tickets are $70 per head, and cover a two course meal and a night of fun, along with a look back at the Sundowners road to chartering. Tickets are available here. We are sure it will be a night to remember and would love for you to join us.
Our charter team are working closely with the Press Club to ensure this event is as Covid safe as possible. The Press Club has an approved CovidSafe plan, which is being applied. In addition we have reduced the overall room capacity, reduced table capacity from ten to eight, and have plans to minimise risk in bottleneck areas.
As well as being one of Rotary's newest clubs, our statistics show that we are a new generation club, with an average age of around 40 years old and over 60% membership being female. We are focussed and progressive.
