The Floriade Gnomes has become a staple of Canberra’s cultural landscape, with children and adults travelling from across Australia to have the chance to paint their own special gnome.
That’s why we are thrilled to head along each year and help our friends from the Rotary Club of Murrumbidgee Canberra spread some joy among the eager artists.
On Wednesday night, we attended a thank you dinner hosted by Murrumbidgee Canberra to honour all those volunteers who make a contribution to the gnomes painting extravaganza. It was a great evening to hear firsthand how this fun activity has a positive impact on the wellbeing of so many people.
