We headed down to Black Mountain Peninsula for Clean Up Australia Day, making the most of a beautiful Canberra Sunday while doing our bit for the community.

Armed with our Plalkin’ My World kits, we worked our way around the picnic areas before tackling the rubbish that had collected along the shoreline of Lake Burley Griffin. It’s always surprising what you find when you start looking closely.

Among the items picked-up our highlights included wine bottles, fishing nets, coffee cups, towels, P-plates and underwear.

It was an incredible effort by all involved to make our part of the world a little more cleaner.
