While many of us are keeping warm indoors, our team were out on the Vinnies Night Patrol van providing warm drinks, warm clothing and a friendly smile to companions sleeping rough across Queanbeyan and Canberra.
It was also a bittersweet one as we farewelled John Askew. After several years as a regular member of our Night Patrol team, tonight is John’s final shift before he moves interstate.
His commitment to service and willingness to help others has made a real difference and he’ll be greatly missed.
