Back in July, our members braved the rain and cold in Bowning to raise funds for ShelterBox Australia which provides life-saving shelter and essentials to families displaced by disaster and conflict worldwide.
Camping alongside our friends from the Rotary Club of Yass, Rotary Club of Tuggeranong, Rotary Club of Blayney and the Rotary Club of Batemans Bay, we were able to raise more than $20,000 for ShelterBox.
In recognition of this, we were honoured, alongside our friends from Yass, to be awarded the ‘Off The Grid Champion Award’.
The District 9705 ShelterBox Chair and event organiser, Mitra Rawan, presented the award to our participants last week.
