This week we were delighted to hear from Canberra author and advocate Heidi J Prowse OAM.
Heidi generously shared her reflections on grief, burnout, healing and growth, including moving excerpts from two of her three books.
We hung on to every word as Heidi spoke about meeting her late husband, Andrew, with whom she raised more than $1 million for Cystic Fibrosis ACT.
Heidi has worn many hats, including generously donating her time to emcee our last two trivia night fundraisers.
Thank you, Heidi, for your support. We continue to be inspired by your energy and passion for serving our community.
You can find out more about Heidi here:
And you can find and purchase Heidi’s books — We Should Have Grown Old Together, Finding Self Love in Poems, and Beyond Being Tough: The Modern Man’s Guide to Self-Love & Growth — here.
Tuesday’s meeting also ushered in our newest member as we formally inducted Connor.
A chance meeting in Batemans Bay sparked Connor’s interest in our club. Since then, Connor has hit the ground running as an engaged volunteer. We’re thrilled to have him formally on board!
As always, there’s plenty coming up, including our Easter Sunday Bunnings BBQ and our 2025-2026 club planning day on 4 May. Interested in getting involved? Please reach out!
