It is widely agreed that the biggest celebration of Spring is Canberra’s Floriade and members were out in force during this year’s festival to support the Gnome Painting Competition.

With very favourable weather conditions, members of the Sundowners helped support budding artists on Saturday, 7 October.

Tasked with selling gnomes, distributing paint and brushes and assisting in applying lacquer to ensure each gnome’s longevity, members had a very fulfilling and engaging day.

Profits raised throughout the Competition are used to support Rotary’s local community service activities and for international humanitarian assistance purposes.
