We were delighted to welcome Community Services #1 CEO Simon Bennett and operations director Romney Kelly to this week’s meeting to find out more about how the organisation is making a real difference in our community.
CS#1 supports thousands of individuals and families across the ACT and nearby NSW, including through early childhood education and aged care services, a food pantry, social support groups, and much more.
As our partner organisation, we’ve supported CS#1 through a range of initiatives, including donating two defibrillators, supplying food pantry items and helping out at community Christmas events.
Hearing from Simon and Romney reminded us just how significant CS#1’s work is — and why we’re committed to supporting the organisation where we can.
We also discussed a range of upcoming activities, including our Trivia Night on 13 March. The event is raising funds to purchase and pack lifesaving birthing kits.
