To mark Clean Up Australia Day on Sunday 2 March we headed down to Lake Burley Griffin at Weston Park.
We're lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the world, so it's important we take the time look after our natural environment.
By removing rubbish around the shoreline of the lake, we're hoping to prevent it from polluting the waterway and impacting all the creatures and plants that call Lake Burley Griffin home.
From hats, drink bottles, plastic packaging and shoes, there was plenty of rubbish for us to pick up.
It was a timely reminder of the importance of each of us taking the time to look after our environment.
Thanks to the National Capital Authority for organising the event!
