It was great to look back at the wonderful year that the club had in 21-22 under President Sam Saunders.  Sam had a tremendously productive year as President, and even found time to give birth to Millie early on in the year.

Sam paid tribute to her Board for the year, who have supported her and worked behind the scenes to ensure the club was able to charter and to set some great foundations.  The outgoing Board included President Elect Sam Doyle, Secretary Tara Pullen, Treasurer Patricia McDonell, Membership Director Peter Hill, Immediate Past President Emma McVeigh and Community Services Director Kate Wiencke.
A summary of some of the main activities of our year includes:
    • We chartered as a rotary club in August 2021 with 21 members (a fantastic achievement noting we started the 2020/21 year with just 10 members).  We currently have 28 members.
    • We undertook over 400 hours of service, and averaged one hands-on service activity per month - with highlights including purchasing and packing 900 birthing kits, completion and installation of a new street library, support to those in need through the Community Service #1 food pantry and Christmas appeal, and delivery of meals supporting Garry Malhotra's Ken Behren's food drive and two activities helping improve the community areas for residents at Oaks Estate.
    • We had some great social events, including a French wine tasting and a number of dinner events.
    • We raised about $6,000 to support a our service activities and Rotary's End Polio campaign.
    • We had many awesome meetings with some of the best guest speakers around, including Senior Australian of the Year (Val Dempsey), CEO of Menslink (Martin Fisk), CEO of CS#1 (Amanda Tobler) and CEO of KultureBreak (Francis Owusu) and many more.
